Position Summary
Day one ready!

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our facilities team. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair large-scale, complex piping systems that carry water, steam, chemicals, and gases within an industrial setting. This position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.


What You'll Do
  • System Installation: Install and assemble pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures for potable water, sanitary lines, grease lines, gas lines, steam piping, and fire protection systems.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on plumbing equipment such as boilers, water heaters, lift stations, interceptors, circulating pumps, and backflow prevention devices.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to plan efficient system layouts.
  • Pipefitting & Fabrication: Cut, thread, bend, solder, braze, and weld pipes made of copper, cast iron, steel, PVC, and other materials using hand and power tools.
  • Testing & Inspection: Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure proper function and compliance with local, state, and national plumbing and safety codes.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols when working with hazardous materials, high-pressure systems, confined spaces, or at heights.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with other trades and maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Travel: Limited but possible for training or special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical school or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in industrial or commercial plumbing at a journeyman or master level.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid driver's license, state/county Journeyman or Master Plumbing License, and certifications such as backflow prevention.
  • Skills:
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in awkward positions, climb ladders, and tolerate various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, climbing, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

Work Environment
  • Exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.
  • Use of cleaning solvents and PPE (masks, respirators, Tyvek suits, etc.).
  • Confined spaces and loud noise environments.
  • OSHA-approved CO₂ exposure levels.
