Job description

Description
Are you a Veterinary Dermatologist looking to join a growing team in a VECCS Level I facility and build your own service? Do you want to collaborate with other specialty departments on treatment plans in a collegial and team-based culture? Do you enjoy teaching students, interns, and residents? If so, we want to hear from you!
Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is expanding, and we are looking for a residency-trained or board-certified Veterinary Dermatologist to join our outstanding team of dedicated professionals in Middletown, Connecticut.
Our state-of-the-art facility includes everything you need to practice the highest level of medicine. You will enjoy a collegial and collaborative work environment including a committed team of technicians, assistants, and a client liaison. You and your patients will be supported by boarded specialists in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Avian/Exotics, and Critical Care as well as a seasoned team of primary and emergency veterinarians. As an added bonus, we enjoy an Antech reference laboratory in the building with an on-site clinical pathologist.
At Pieper, we prioritize a doctor-led, medicine-first approach and are proud to offer equity options to our veterinarians. We believe in an integrated veterinary system that brings together veterinarians and medical teams from every type of practice to support our community. Pieper Veterinary is committed to education and in addition to our rotating internships, specialty internships, and residencies partners with Middlesex Community College to provide clinical training for their AVMA accredited veterinary technology program.
Owned and operated by veterinarians since 1937, our family of hospitals in Connecticut includes five primary care and one urgent care hospital. Additionally, we have partnered with hospitals in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maine, and Ohio. These valued partnerships support Pieper's continuing strategy to partner with privately-owned hospitals that want to grow, expand, and share in a commitment to providing quality veterinarian-led medicine in the Northeast.
We offer a supportive culture with social events & team building, and our benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, mental health focused services, equity options, sign-on bonuses, fully paid short-term disability, a safe harbor 401K with match, and a generous pet care discount.
