Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Engineer III) Location: 12350 N. Vistoso Park Road, Oro Valley AZ 85755
Duration: 3 months to 1 year Brief Description:
• The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides expert-level mechanical engineering support throughout all phases of aerospace product development—from concept and design through production and qualification. • Responsible for electronic packaging design, 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks), and advanced Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) for structural and thermal performance. • Leads mechanical design, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. • Collaborates across disciplines to drive technical solutions, process improvements, and risk management activities. Proficient in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
• Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), preferably ANSYS
• Ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving
• Electronic Packaging Design of Aerospace Hardware
• CAD design, 3D and 2D (sheet metal, machined parts, plastic parts, castings)
• Drawing packages (including 2D CAD drawings)
• Advanced knowledge of FEA structural analysis and thermal analysis tools
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Design to mechanical requirements
• Solves technical problems using a combination of experience, judgment, and precedents
• Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), preferably ANSYS
• Ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
