Position Description:
Join a pivotal team supporting the nation's central bank as a Sr. Automation Engineer specializing in Ansible. In this remote/onsite hybrid role based in Richmond, VA, you will lead automation initiatives to modernize infrastructure and enhance operational efficiency across enterprise systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced automation solutions that safeguard critical financial and payment systems, leveraging cutting-edge cloud and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies. Drive innovation through automation, API development, and secure scripting practices within an Agile environment. Your expertise will enable self-service automation, streamline workflows, and support the strategic vision of the organization.
Top Requirements:
  • Advanced Ansible experience (playbooks, roles, modules, workflows) for complex, secure enterprise environments
  • 7+ years of automation and software development experience, including Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
  • Proficiency in REST API development using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working within Agile or Scaled Agile frameworks
