Role Objective
We are seeking highly experienced US Driving Experts to serve as the "Ground Truth" for our autonomous vehicle projects. You will apply your deep knowledge of US traffic laws, regional driving nuances, and defensive driving principles to annotate and validate complex driving scenarios. Your expertise will directly train AI models to understand not just what the law says, but how safe, predictable drivers behave in the real world.
Key Responsibilities
  • Behavioral Annotation: Analyze video and sensor data from US roads to label driver intent, pedestrian interactions, and complex maneuvers (e.g., unprotected left turns, merging in heavy traffic).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Provide leadership and consultation to stakeholders to enhance our workflows and quality by ensuring all labeled data aligns with US State specific and Federal driving regulations (MUTCD standards).
  • Edge Case Analysis: Evaluate "near miss" or ambiguous scenarios to provide expert judgment on what a "Safe Human Driver" would do.
  • Quality Assurance: Audit generalist annotations to correct US road priority, signage and unofficial "road etiquette" misconceptions. Conduct quality checks and provide feedback to enhance model performance..
  • Policy Documentation: Assist policy teams in translating complex DMV/DOT regulations into logical rules for ML models. Act as the subject matter expert for our US Road Policies, working closely with stakeholders, program leads, and teams to ensure seamless adoption and maximum impact in our quality processes. Be the trusted source for creating and updating technical policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures for new scopes and driving behaviors.
  • Operational Integration: Serve as the key link between AI/ML development and operational execution. Define and document new policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that integrate tools and insights into daily vendor workflows.

Required Qualifications
  • US Driving Experience: Minimum of 5 years of active driving experience within the United States.
  • Certification: Prior experience as a Certified Driving Instructor, DMV Examiner, or Professional Fleet Trainer is highly preferred.
  • License: Must possess a valid, current US Driver's License
  • Regulatory Mastery: Exhaustive knowledge of US road signs, signals, pavement markings, and right of way rules across various states.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to break down a split second driving decision into a logical step by step explanation.
  • Tooling: Ability to quickly learn and implement new concepts and utilize proprietary tools.
  • Core Competency: A proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining good judgment.

Experience: 3-5 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $73,000 to $83,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
