About the Job:
LF Studios specializes in the design and fabrication of animatronic figures, sculpted elements, exhibits and interactive experiences. Our work can be found in leading theme parks, museums, science centers, and branded spaces all over the world.
Primary Mission:
Own the procurement, supplier management, and receiving process for all custom fabricated, machined, purchased, and stock components required to deliver animatronic systems on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own purchased components throughout the entire procurement lifecycle, from supplier selection and purchase order issuance through delivery, receiving, and issue resolution.
  • Source and procure custom fabricated and purchased components.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications to determine appropriate manufacturing methods and suppliers. 
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with machining, fabrication, composites, coatings, and specialty manufacturing vendors.
  • Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure compliance with material certification, quality, and tolerance requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturability and reduce cost.
  • Maintain procurement tracking systems and communicate status to project teams.
  • Forecast purchasing expenditures and support project budgeting activities.
  • Develop supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Continuously assess market capabilities and emerging suppliers to improve quality, capacity, lead times, and cost competitiveness.

Requirements:
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and CAD models.
  • Understanding of machining, welding, fabrication, composites, coatings, and assembly processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and vendor management skills.
  • Experience sourcing custom manufactured components preferred.
