Sales Specialist - Mid-Atlantic region

On-site, Remote

Full-time

Medical, Retirement, PTO

Posted 26 days ago

Job description

Nofence has built the world's first precision livestock management platform for livestock. The technology consists of a solar-powered collar that communicates with an app over the cellular network. Through the app, livestock producers can set up a new grazing area in seconds, and the long days of installing and moving fences are officially over! Livestock can graze longer and in more areas, and the owner will always have visibility of their location. This means better profitability and more free time for producers as well as improved animal welfare.
With a strong foundation of 10,000+ customers globally, we are expanding in the US. To support this growth, we're looking for a Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team.
We're building a remote-friendly team across the country and currently hiring across the US.
This position will be located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.
Join us on the journey to revolutionize agriculture and create a better everyday life for livestock producers and their animals!
About the role
Your mission will be to sell Nofence, a precision livestock management platform to US producers.
You will reach out to and follow up with potential and existing customers, coming from inbound inquiries and face to face producer outreach. However, we're looking for someone adaptable, proactive, and ready to take on new challenges as our company evolves. If future needs require cold calling, you should be comfortable stepping into that role.
Above all, we prioritize building strong customer relationships. This means understanding our customers' needs and guiding them to make the most of our product. While we provide full product training, previous experience working with livestock producers is a great advantage.
The right candidate is self-motivated, energetic, and hardworking, preferably with a background from agriculture. As a part of our team you will have the opportunity to grow together with the company, as the opportunities for development are endless both for our product and our employees!
Title: Sales Specialist
Status: Full-time, exempt (not subject to overtime), 40 hours per week
Supervisor: National Sales Director- US
Location: US-Remote -Mid-Atlantic region
The main responsibilities for this role will be:
  • Close sales through phone, email and face to face
  • Respond to inbound sales via phone and email, ticketing system, and other tools
  • Document and update customer records and support cases in our CRM system.
  • Work alongside our customer support team
  • Travel expected to relevant events and to potential and current customers

In the current phase of growing our team we will need someone who is adaptable and willing to contribute to non-sales and non-support related tasks like;
  • Contributing to projects across the organization
  • Contributing to developing the Sales team and shaping our structure
  • Contributing to developing the Support team and shaping our structure
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
  • A degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the position. Practical experience and engagement can compensate for a lack of formal qualifications
  • Proven experience as a sales consultant or similar role in a tech company or industry
  • A background which makes you able to answer questions related to agriculture, pasture management, or animal husbandry
  • Keen interest in our market and ability to gain competence in our technology
  • Excellent English oral and writing skills
  • Strong communication skills

We are looking for someone who is:
  • Independent and self-driven
  • Ambitious and result-oriented
  • Genuinely interested in livestock production
  • A team player with a heart for the greater good

About Nofence
Managing livestock has always been a challenge. Humanity has tried everything from herding with dogs to walling the animals in with barbed wire, electric, and wooden fences, but these are costly and time-consuming solutions and often in conflict with the local wildlife. It has also left vast areas of potential pasture overgrown and underutilized.
Until now.
Enter virtual fences. What started as a small group of farmers and engineers with a big idea has become Nofence - the world's first virtual fencing solution for livestock. Curious about how it works? Find out more here.
What can we offer?
Our way of working is continuously evolving, and you will have the opportunity to make an impact on how we do things. We are passionate about product development, animal welfare, producer welfare and sustainable agriculture. As our colleague you will be part of an exciting company with enormous ambitions for growth in the US. We genuinely believe our grazing technology can be the biggest technological change in agriculture since the tractor!
The right candidate will receive a competitive benefits package, including 100% employer-paid health insurance, 25 days of paid time off (PTO) plus all federal holidays, an additional 5 days of company-wide leave during quieter periods, 401(k) retirement contributions, 8 weeks of paid parental leave, and a vehicle stipend: all within a supportive, rewarding environment designed to help you thrive.
The base salary for this role is $60,000-$90,000 per year, with an annual performance bonus of up to 20% of base salary.
We are open to considering candidates at a more senior level. Should a more experienced candidate be selected, this position may be filled at the Senior Sales Specialist level, with a corresponding base salary of $90,000-$130,000 per year and the same 20% bonus opportunity.
When determining salary ranges for our roles, we look at external market data and the salaries of Nofencers holding the same or similar roles. Our pay bands reflect the broad range of skills and experience levels great candidates bring to us. When making individual pay decisions, we take into account the candidate's depth of relevant experience, their skills relative to the role, and their location.
About the Application
Are you ready to change pasture? Just like the soil needs a balanced diversity of nutrients to thrive, a company needs a diversity of hearts and minds. We are an equal-opportunity employer.
Please submit your application directly through this portal. In line with applicable data protection regulations and our data protection practices, we are unable to accept or process applications received by email. Applying through the portal also ensures your personal data is handled securely. We review applications on a rolling basis and look forward to hearing from you!
