Job description

Somnia Anesthesia, a physician-owned and clinician-led group, is seeking Anesthesiologists to join their expanding team at Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, CA. This role offers an opportunity to practice in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment within a Level II Trauma Center. The position provides strong clinical variety and professional stability in a beautiful coastal location.

Practice Info

  • Practice environment at Orange County Global Medical Center, a Safety Net Hospital with 282 beds and a Level II Trauma Center
  • 4 ORs, with 2 new ORs being added
  • Level III NICU
  • Care Team Model (currently 5 physicians and 8 CRNAs)
  • CRNAs handle non-trauma ORs and OB Call
  • Anesthesia providers support a wide range of surgical services including Level II Trauma & Emergency Surgery, Advanced Cardiac & STEMI Cases, Obstetric, Maternal & Neonatal Care, Burn Center & Trauma Support, General, Orthopedic, Vascular, ENT, and Urologic Procedures

Compensation

  • 1099 Compensation: $15,125 weekly
  • OB 24-hour call (pager) $4,500
  • Referral bonus of up to $5,000 if a recommended colleague is hired

Shift & Schedule

  • 55 hours per week
  • 42 weeks of service and 10 weeks UTO
  • OB 24-hour call (pager)
  • Shifts: 8, 10, 12-hour shifts
  • Trauma OR1 24/7 coverage
  • OR2 8-10 hours shifts

  • State CDS
  • Board certification or Board eligible if in process
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • BLS
