Senior Android Developer

Dawn InfoTek Inc. is a professional IT consulting team that partners with major financial institutions, investment firms and government sectors. We have been dedicated to delivering cutting-edge consulting services and recruiting all levels of IT positions for our clients.

We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the major banks .

Contract duration: 6 months with possibility of extension

Hybrid - 2-3 days a week in office

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the current APK to identify unused or redundant libraries, images, and assets.
  • Remove unnecessary dependencies and optimize resource usage.
  • Improve build performance and reduce final APK size without impacting functionality.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure best practices in app optimization.
Must have skills:
  • 7+ years of using Android Studio to develop, build, run and debug apps locally.
  • Be familiar with Android SDK and common libraries.
  • Be proficient in building packaging and Signing apps for distribution.
  • Industry experience in building Android apps.
  • Proven experience in Android development and APK optimization.
  • Familiarity with tools for APK analysis (e.g., Android Studio Profiler, Lint, APK Analyzer).
  • Be able to convert an APK package into an AAB bundle.
  • Some experience with optimizing an android app for size (Asset)
  • Attention to detail and a performance-focused mindset.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred
