Marsh is seeking candidates to join our Casualty Healthcare Placement team based in our New York or Chicago office location. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
What can you expect:
  • Work alongside a senior placement broker to assist in all aspects of a client's insurance program including the development of a renewal strategy; ensuring a completed submission and sending to market; negotiating broad coverage terms; documenting all placement activities to ensure timely follow up by client, carriers and client team.
  • Build relationships within your team, colleagues, insurance markets, clients, carriers and/or underwriters to provide cohesive client service.

We will count on you to:
  • Consult management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participate in development of solutions
  • Ensure client renewal transactions are compliant with professional standards.
  • Assist in special projects within team.
  • Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production
  • Assist in submitting coverage specifications and policy management for follow up with underwriters and client team to provide cohesive client service.
  • Input placement data into system within specified timeframes and accurately.
  • Complete first check of policy and confirm policy language to support policy renewal process.
  • Inspect the binding of coverage and is responsible for the accuracy of placement binders
  • Work towards:
    • A solid knowledge of market risk issues, insurance brokerage, account management, servicing and sales skills
    • A detailed understanding of changing insurance and risk management market conditions

What you need to have:
  • College degree
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • P & C licensed preferred, OR able to obtain within 12 months of employment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and the ability to learn proprietary applications/databases

All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $72,500 to $154,300.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
