The Senior Program manager is responsible for delivering complex, cross-functional finance and data programs with a strong focus on financial rigor, vendor governance, and delivery predictability. This role ensures projects are delivered on time and within approved budgets while maintaining tight control over forecasts, accruals, and vendor spend. The role partners closely with Finance, Portfolio, Delivery leaders, and external vendors to drive operational excellence and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

Program and Delivery Management -

  • Own end-to-end project planning and execution across multiple workstreams/ projects.
  • Manage interdependencies across delivery, data, and reporting teams.
  • Track milestones, risks, and dependencies with clear, executive-level reporting.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, including senior cross-functional leaders, and manage expectations.
  • Exercise good judgment driven by data and facts, and take accountability for outcomes.

Financial Excellence

  • Lead monthly financial close activities including timesheets, accruals, and reclasses.
  • Manage OpEx and CapEx forecasts and explain variances.
  • Manage the process of project funding requests and funding approvals.
  • Ensure financial discipline across multi-phase programs.

Vendor Management

  • Support creation and execution of vendor SOWs aligned with financial plans.
  • Track vendor spend against approved budgets.
  • Execute zero-dollar change orders to avoid delivery disruption.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, invoicing, and approvals.

Resource Management

  • Manage resource allocations in Planview aligned with budget and delivery needs.
  • Prevent over- or under-utilization through continuous adjustments.

Requirements

Program Management

  • Strong planning, risk management, and execution skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional enterprise initiatives.
  • Financial Management Expertise
  • 10+ years of strong experience in project financial management, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Deep understanding of OpEx vs. CapEx and enterprise funding and tracking processes for same.

Vendor And Commercial Management

  • Experience managing vendor contracts, SOWs, and commercial governance.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor spend and invoices effectively.

Tools and Systems

  • Experience with Planview, financial systems, JIRA, and ServiceNow.
