As part of our continued investment in data-driven innovation, we are looking for anAnalytics Manager to join our growing team. In this high-impact role, you will oversee data analytics operations for the Lovet veterinary health care brand, driving data-driven decision making, and providing actionable insights to various stakeholders within the organization. Serve as a core member of a cross-functional data team, working with colleagues across data engineering, operations, finance, marketing, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • KPI development:
    • Co-create the ongoing data and analytics roadmap (which metrics are needed, source systems to incorporate, prioritization, etc.)
    • Lead weekly cross-functional meetings to align stakeholders on short, medium, and long-term priorities.
    • Define the business logic necessary to transform raw source data into meaningful KPIs for the business. Partner with data engineering to ensure proper implementation.
    • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all analytics processes and outputs.
    • Collaborate with colleagues across other TAG brands to understand best practices and points of similarity and difference vs the veterinary health care brand.
    • Be the subject matter expert on all aspects of our KPIs.
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics:
    • Serve as Tableau Server Admin for the veterinary health care brand and manage entire Tableau environment.
    • Utilize BigQuery/SQL to extract, transform, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources. Google Cloud Platform will be used extensively.
    • Create, manage, and optimize advanced Tableau dashboards and reports to provide visual insights and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
    • Innovate on ways to deliver the right information to the right people, at the right time, through the right channel.
    • Organize analytics outputs in logical ways to drive high usage throughout all levels of the organization.
    • Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive business growth, including recurring and ad-hoc projects.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve existing analytics processes, tools, and methodologies.
    • Utilize Excel to deliver data to business users.
  • General:
    • Educate the organization on all aspects of data and analytics.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies in data analytics and business intelligence.
    • Lead analytics trainings for corporate and hospital-based employees.
    • May work nights/weekends as required.

Travel Requirements:

Travel to Phoenix, AZ, and/or Grand Rapids, MI, two (2) to four (4) weeks per
year to visit Lovet brand hospitals to observe practices and outline requirements

Qualifications

Experience:

Seven (7) years of professional experience in data engineering and/or data analytics roles, creating KPIs, curating high-quality datasets, and building compelling data visualizations that lead to business insight and action.

Experience must include:

  • 7 years leading cross-functional projects on business intelligence and analytics projects
  • 7 years using GCP and BigQuery, including schema design, cost optimization, and large-scale dataset processing
  • 7 years using SQL to manipulate and analyze data
  • 7 years building advanced data visualizations using Tableau creating dashboards that excel in flexibility and performance
  • 7 years of Tableau Server administration, leading the maintenance and security of Tableau environment
  • 7 years implementing robust quality control approaches to ensure output meets accuracy standards
  • 7 years defining and implementing data governance practices and documenting data definitions and standards

Education:

  • Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Other Special Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in writing complex queries, utilizing complex joins, CTEs, aggregation functions, window functions, and optimizing performance
  • Demonstrated proficiency creating ETL processes and pipelines in GCP
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing multiple analytics projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated proficiency interacting with non-technical business leaders, knowing the right level of details to provide in different situations

*This role is onsite at least 3 days/week in our Chicago office (Fulton Market District)
