Description:Implementation/HR Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

As an HCM Software Implementation Specialist, you will manage HCM implementations for clients transitioning from one HCM system to another or moving onto a new HCM for the first time. Implementation Specialists take a collaborative approach with the client and the HCM software implementation team. It is essential to set clear expectations from pre-implementation discovery through implementation completion. This includes collaboration with others on the Implementation Team, the client, and the HCM implementation team. On the HR consulting side, you will be assisting with various HR-related projects for multiple clients.

Essential Functions for the Implementation Specialist

  • Serves as the dedicated point of contact for implementation project results and coordination, including software setup/configuration, providing advice on best practices, compliance, and configuration, scheduling training sessions, and coordination with EDI third-party integrations as applicable
  • Along with our HCM partner, conduct pre-implementation discovery such as requirements gathering and “future state” goals, and align with internal and external team members.
  • Transitions client data from the current HCM into Excel workbooks for import into new HCM; For clients who are new to an HCM, populate Excel workbooks with client data from other Excel documents or their electronic files
  • Conducts parallel payrolls, identifying and resolving earnings, deductions, and tax discrepancies; Works with the HCM implementation team to remedy setup issues that caused differences.
  • Communicates with the client’s primary point of contact and team throughout the implementation project
  • Participates in transition planning with the Implementation Manager
  • Participates in weekly implementation meetings to report and track progress
  • Conducts needs analysis with Implementation Manager to resolve appropriate implementation requirements for non-standard projects
  • Identifies and refers concerns to the Implementation Manager and assists with troubleshooting or escalating as appropriate
  • Participates in weekly team meetings and contributes feedback toward project progress
  • Creates documentation guides for the client for the new system
  • Assesses workflows, protocol, and training gaps; recommends solutions to fill gaps and implement them quickly
  • Tracks billable time daily

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience; Proven experience working as an Implementation / Professional Services Specialist is an advantage
  • Strong experience working in HCM (Human Capital Management) systems
  • Advanced-level Microsoft Excel skills are an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Human Resources certification and/or degree
  • Comfortable with changing processes and procedures and strong ability to learn with little documentation
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
