Job description

Position Summary

The Industrial Base Analyst coordinates and executes all contract tasks supporting the SAF/AQX Industrial Base Division, helping the Air Force build and sustain a robust, secure, and resilient industrial base. This role leads mergers-and-acquisitions evaluations, tracks industrial base investments, and oversees sustainment and predictive-analytics development for industrial base IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute all tasks spanning industrial base analysis/strategic support and industrial base IT systems/data analytics.
  • Analyze and assess the impact of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures on the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and Air Force programs.
  • Identify and assess supply chain and industrial base vulnerabilities and support Government-led mitigation strategies.
  • Support justification of GOCO industrial plants and draft technical input for Air Force, DoW, and Congressional inquiries on industrial preparedness.
  • Track DIB-focused investments, develop technical roadmaps and market strategies, and support Defense Production Act (Title I and III) implementation analysis.
  • Sustain and enhance data-warehousing tools such as the Defense Industrial Base Company Insights (DIBCI) capability within PMRT, integrating sources like FPDS-NG and SAM.gov.
  • Evaluate and help implement Government-approved AI/ML applications for predictive analytics on supply chain trends, and deliver training on developed tools.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 10 years
  • Education: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Certifications / Expertise: CFA; Certified Business Economist (CBE)
  • Security Clearance: Top Secret
