Summary
The MIL Corporation is looking for a Business Analyst (Business Analysis, Associate) to support a Federal Government client in Arlington, VA.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Lead development of Bureau resource requests, ensuring internal consistency across narratives and financial tables.
  • Build and validate models that break down requirements into cost drivers (inflation, staffing, unit costs), reconciling data from multiple Department systems.
  • Analyze and respond to rapid congressional and OMB budget taskers, modeling multiple funding scenarios and impacts.
  • Maintain baseline integrity by resolving structural discrepancies and enforcing consistency across all submission components.
  • Produce crosswalks, delta analyses, briefings, and visuals that support leadership decisions on resource tradeoffs.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Diplomatic Security programs and Department data sources (ILMS, GBI, GFMS, RFMS, HR systems, SHIFTS).
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills, including complex multi-tab structures, validation, and error-checking.
  • Deep expertise in federal budget formulation, OMB Circular A-11, and resource-request sequencing.
  • Ability to synthesize technical and quantitative material into clear, leadership-ready narrative.

Desired Qualifications
  • Power BI experience developing interactive dashboards and custom DAX measures.
  • Skills in data transformation and automation using Power Query, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Dataverse.
  • Experience generating professional program documents and performing precise edits in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with appropriation law constraints and object-class compliance considerations.
  • Ability to prepare, clean, merge, and validate large datasets with attention to keys, identifiers, and internal consistency.
