Job description

The Quality Engineer position is responsible for providing problem-solving leadership to the organization, directing cross-functional teams for corrective action resolution, leading, and implementing continuous improvement activities, monitoring key measurement data for trend analysis and areas for improvement, and complying with established quality system registration requirements, procedures, and objectives. 

  • Developing quality-related documents - control plan, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), flow chart, PPAP, 8D, etc.  
  • Creating inspection and process control requirements and operator instructions  
  • Leading and assisting Quality management with internal containment activities  
  • Leading problem-solving activities for internal and external issues, implementing countermeasures, and reporting in an appropriate format  
  • Analyzing engineering and customer specifications and monitoring operational processes to develop quality control methods, practices, and process documents  
  • Resolving daily issues related to quality assurance activities  
  • Leading team meetings and presenting technical information to internal and external customers for defect reduction activities  
  • Implementing customer product quality and system requirements
  • Ensuring both customer and internal requirements are met  
  • Representing Quality in the Product Launch team  
  • Performing associate training, as needed  
  • Developing and maintaining professional, collaborative, and productive working relationships with all levels of the organization
