The Stress Analysis Engineer will own moderatetocomplex structuralanalysis workpackages, mentor junior analysts, and provide technical leadership for propulsion subsystem stress analyses. The role bridges detailed finiteelement modeling with designreview participation, ensuring that stress analysis meets program performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
Advanced Stress Analysis
Lead static, dynamic, and fatigue analyses using linear and non linear solutions in SiemensNX.
Develop and validate highfidelity FEM models (meshing strategy, material definition, boundary conditions).
Perform loadcase generation and factorofsafety assessment for critical structures
Design Integration & Trade Studies
Translate systemlevel requirements into detailed stressanalysis specifications.
Provide designsize recommendations, reinforcement concepts, and material substitutions to meet weightstrength targets.
Participate in multidisciplinary trade studies (structurethermal, structurepropulsion, etc.).
Verification & Validation
Define testarticle requirements, instrumentation layout, and test procedures for groundtest and flighttest campaigns.
Correlate test data with analytical predictions, update models, and document discrepancies.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
