PROCUREMENT ANALYST
The primary responsibility of this position is to be principally responsible for sourcing, negotiations, and cost management for assigned products. In addition, this role supports procurement operations through data analysis, team pipeline management, reporting, and tracking and maintenance of published indexed cost mechanisms. The Procurement Analyst helps maximize profitability through effective supply chain management while ensuring compliance with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Manage assigned product responsibilities by:
    • Negotiating pricing, delivery and business terms with suppliers
    • Following operational controls to assure accuracy of costs and timely implementation of cost changes (CCNs)
    • Fostering and maintaining positive business relationships with suppliers and users
    • Developing contingency plans of supply - RIKs, supply chain optimizations, etc.
  • Improve gross margins for product responsibilities by:
  • Identifying and executing supply chain improvements and cost reduction initiatives
    • Analyzing account / product margin data and implementing appropriate action plans
    • Developing M3 (ERP) and other reporting capabilities for procurement and sales data analysis
    • Communicating market conditions to sales through cost change notifications (CCN), procurement blog, etc.
  • Support Sourcing Managers / Purchasing Agents by:
      • Completing analysis and reporting as needed - sales and purchase history, cost and margin analysis, where used reports, etc.
      • Maintaining feedstock databases, pricing indexes, volume incentives, etc.
      • Analyzing, maintaining and tracking team pipeline / margin improvement initiatives monthly
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through technology - AI, ERP, Power BI, Vince, Excel, etc.
  • Manage Optiva system for the Corp Procurement Team
  • Uphold Hydrite's Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to providing quality products and services to internal and external customers
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Timely completion of tasks is essential
  • Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned

REPORTING STRUCTURE
  • This position reports to the Procurement Manager
  • Works with sales, operations, business support, TS&D, SQRA, and accounting

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is strongly preferred. Technical / science, finance or econ. degree preferred.
  • Prior purchasing, business analyst and/or systems experience preferred
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Extremely strong computer skills and knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word required
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English
