Job Responsibilities

This position will:

  • Participate in the annual development of the Capital and O&M Budgets, evaluate monthly and YTD variances between budgeted and actual expenditures, develop short and long term forecasts, and provide financial analysis and expertise to both Finance and Operational leaders regarding financial implications of operating decisions.
  • Prepare, document, and present analysis or audit reports along with recommendations to management, ensure appropriate financial controls and reporting requirements are met, apply knowledge of interrelationships in processes and utilize problem solving skills to recommend improvements to the process.
  • Incumbents will conduct increasingly complex assignments depending on level.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related business degree is required
  • Entry level position where some work experience is preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP experience.
  • Graduate Degree in a business discipline or CPA.
  • 2 plus years' experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong analysis, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints in a challenging and fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understand aspects of accounting theory and financial statement classification
  • Ability to understand and execute financial controls and perform testing
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems
  • Document basic processes and procedures in ways easily understood and followed by others
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external parties  in a clear and timely manner
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and an eager willingness to accept and meet challenges
  • Independent, mature, professional team member who is an analytical thinker with an ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve moderately complex problems

End Date: 06/30/2026 

Pay Range Minimum:  $59,510.36 

Pay Range Maximum:  $118,053.26 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
