Job description

The Role 

Amphenol Military High Speed is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Endicott, NY.

The key responsibilities of this Electrical Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops product designs and/or test methods
  • Performs or defines complex tests for evaluation of product, equipment or processes
  • Works independently in planning and coordinating resources necessary to complete assignments
  • May assist with creating major product presentations
  • Reviews and analyzes a variety of data to determine requirements for meeting engineering objectives
  • Interacts independently with customers, vendors, and Amphenol personnel on significant design, process or evaluation issues
  • May direct other employees
  • Coordinates and provides support to other departments within the Company

Salary: $62,354 - $85,000

The Person

The key skills and qualities of an Electrical Engineer at Amphenol Military High Speed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (Mentor Graphics PADS or equivalent) required
  • Background with fiber optic communication preferred
  • Familiarity with C, C#, FPGA, or python software preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Is innovative and demonstrates significant ingenuity in problem solving and suggesting plans of action
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work 
  • Work collaboratively with others on the design engineering team to accomplish required tasks to support the interests of the business
  • Ability to maintain dedicated focus on intricate details of engineering designs
  • Willingness to contribute extra effort in support of critical business opportunities
