DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:As an Assistant Meat Manager, no one day is ever the same. This position allows you to be a cut above the rest by ensuring the day-to-day operations and sales of our meat department run smoothly. Main Responsibilities - Oversee daily operations of the Meat Department to ensure efficiency, sales growth, and product quality
- Supervise, train, schedule, and assign duties to meat cutters and clerks
- Deliver high-quality customer service and build customer loyalty
- Cut, trim, and prepare meat products using proper tools and techniques
- Maintain inventory accuracy, perform monthly counts, and update records
- Write and manage meat orders; verify delivery accuracy and quality
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and workplace standards
- Implement merchandising programs, pricing, signage, and promotional displays
- Monitor product freshness, remove expired items, and follow markdown procedures
- Analyze reports to identify operational successes and improvement opportunities
- Handle special customer orders and customized cuts

About the TeamPay Transparency:Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay*, PTO/Vacation pay*, paid holidays*, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.
*For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.
