Job Description

Title: Clinical Supervisor

The Clinical Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and guiding supervisees within Meridian Counseling. This position involves providing clinical supervision, ensuring the quality of client care, supporting professional development, and managing the supervisory team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide regular triadic supervision to AMFT, ACSWs, and APCCs.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical work while offering guidance, feedback, and support.
  • Promote collaboration and a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Oversee the management of client cases, ensuring effective treatment planning, use of appropriate interventions, and coordination of care.
  • Request case presentations/video recordings to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Encourage employee development, measurement, and accountability while highlighting achievements.
  • Coach to achieve successful results to enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Recognize gaps in skills and offer training to improve performance and professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to support supervisees’ growth and development.
  • With the support of HR, address employee relations and performance issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance measures to evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of clinical services.
  • Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to quality of client care.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative supervisory team culture through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as administration and intake to ensure seamless service delivery and support their requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that supervisees adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and legal regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting clinical practice.
  • Address any compliance issues promptly and in collaboration with leadership and HR when necessary, including harassment, bullying, and discriminatory behavior.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supervision sessions, including progress notes and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare reports as needed for organizational leadership.
  • Maintain performance documentation, including recognition and noncompliance/neglect leading to disciplinary action in partnership with HR.
  • Prepare corrective action plans when needed to reinforce expectations.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or PhD/PsyD in psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • Clinical licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PhD, PsyD) required.
  • Proven experience in clinical supervision within a healthcare or mental health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, treatment modalities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Prior experience leading and managing employees and teams preferred.
Salary Information

$68 - $108 hourly wage
