Premise Therapy Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and mental health histories, identifying tailored treatment approaches.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery and resilience, ensuring plans are aligned with patients' goals and progress.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), adapting techniques to fit each patient's unique situation.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients to process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and achieve therapeutic milestones.
  • Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and cohesive care for all patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to patients in distress or experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards, ensuring high-quality record-keeping for all patient interactions.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities that focus on trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to integrate innovative treatment methods into your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role is primarily on individuals who are survivors of trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often present with diverse needs that require personalized approaches to therapy. You will play a crucial role in guiding them through their healing journeys, utilizing tailored interventions to support their recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with an emphasis on trauma-related therapies.
Preferred Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR and TF-CBT.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
