Job description

Weโ€™ve signed up to an ambitious journey. Join us!

As Arrive, we guide customers and communities towards brighter futures and more livable cities, it isnโ€™t a challenge just anyone could take on. Luckily, we have something to help us make it happen. Our people and our values. We Arrive Curious, Focused and Together. Just as our entire brand is inspired by the North Star, the shining light leading travelers to their destinations since time began, our values guide us. They help us be at our best. For our customers. For the cities and communities we serve. For ourselves. As a global team, we are transforming urban mobility. Letโ€™s grow better, together.

The Role

As part of the Payments team, the Senior Director of Payments Partnerships will play a pivotal leadership role in executing Arriveโ€™s global payments strategy. Reporting directly to the Head of Payments Strategy, Partnerships & Products Management, this role carries expansive global responsibilities encompassing our North America, Europe, Latin America, and MEA markets. Based in Atlanta, Georgia (Hybrid), you will operate with a high degree of autonomy to lead a team of two direct reports. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing, expanding, and negotiating with our landscape of critical partnersโ€”including major card schemes, large acquirers, processors, and fintechsโ€”to drive value, innovation, and livable city solutions across our global footprint.

How to make an impact
  • Lead and execute the payments partnership strategy across all key markets (North America, Europe, Latin America, and MEA), defining the roadmap for partner integration and regional expansion.
  • Mentor, develop, and lead a team of two direct reports, fostering a proactive, innovative, and high-performing culture while coordinating partner management.
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy to identify new market opportunities, anticipate trends within the payments ecosystem, and independently drive strategic initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with a diverse and complex landscape of key industry players, including global schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), large acquirers (FiServ, Elavon, Planet, Adyen), payment processors, and fintechs.
  • Leverage excellent negotiation skills to establish, renew, and optimize complex contracts and commercial agreements, ensuring favorable terms and scalable frameworks for Arrive.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and strategic lead for external payment partners, ensuring mutual growth, operational excellence, and alignment with regional compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal cross-functional teams (Product & Technology, Finance, Legal) located across several countries.
  • Structure standard processes for onboarding and managing external payment partners, successfully navigating regional nuances and market needs globally while setting MBR/QBR routines and KPI reviews.
About you

You are an autonomous, proactive, and innovative leader who thrives in a dynamic global environment. You bring exceptional communication and negotiation skills, paired with a collaborative approach to leading teams and building cross-functional alignment. You excel at anticipating ecosystem trends, inspiring direct reports, and establishing strong, value-driven relationships with external partners across diverse international markets.

Your background
  • Approximately 20 years of total professional experience, with a significant focus dedicated directly to the payments industry.
  • Proven track record in senior leadership roles within payments, fintech, or related sectors, including experience managing and inspiring direct reports.
  • Deep expertise in managing relationships and establishing complex contracts with major card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and large acquirers/processors (FiServ, Elavon, Planet, Adyen, etc.).
  • Extensive experience operating on a global scale, specifically across North America, Europe, Latin America, and MEA markets.
  • Exceptional communication, cross-functional collaboration, and contract negotiation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with high autonomy and a highly proactive, strategic mindset.

This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia (Hybrid)
