Could you be our next Data Entry/Mail Claims Representative?American Income Life is looking for a Data Entry/Mail Claims Representative to join the team!
In this role, your responsibilities include data entry, claims sorting/indexing, mail responsibilities, and clerical duties required by the department to maintain workflow.
This is a hybrid position located in Waco, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).
What You Will Do:
  • Perform various duties with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Responsible for diverse assignments varying in work required at workstations in any area of the department and based on department need.

  • Data entry work and indexing using a computer and appropriate software; entering, updating, researching, verifying and/or retrieving data into/from various systems, i.e., Mainframe, Virtual Printer, On Demand, etc.

  • Sorting of claims documents ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information recorded.

  • Enter data via PC into on-line claims system f! or processing of payment or generate appropriate correspondence, as well as input date for medical records to be requested.

  • Operate postage machines and apply proper postage.

  • Pick up and drop off mail daily from Post Office and AIMS.

  • Deliver bank deposits as needed.

  • Other duties as required by the department.

What You Can Bring:
  • Minimum typing requirement of 50 wpm.

  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent thereof.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Must possess excellent alpha and numerical recognition skills.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment as well as various software packages required by the department. Knowledge of postage metering machine.

  • Ability to lift heavy cartons (up to 50 lbs.).

  • Ability to understand and apply a variety of oral and written instructions, demonstrates initiative.

  • Proficient communication skills including proper grammar, word usage, and punctuation in writing and verbally.
