Job description

  1. In office at VDOT - 1401 East Broad Street, Richmond, VA - at least 3 days per week.
  2. Long term position for a year or longer.
  3. 6+ years of proven experience in systems documentation to include source code, technical documentations including user documentation, how-to guides, integration guides, computer systems operation guides and product specifications that increase the experience of the digital platform. 
  4. Translate Developer documentation into a technical document for all to understand.
  5. Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Information technology, Computer Science or related disciplines. 
  6. Experience working with other technical experts, such as engineers and software developers, to ensure that the information they provide is accurate and easy to understand.
  7. Understand and explain complex technical concepts.
  8. Strong research and analytical skills and very detail oriented.
  9. Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.
  10. Excellent technical writing skills and verbal communication skills. 
  11. Good working knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs.
