We are seeking a highly motivated Freezer Associate to join our team at AMCON Distributing Company. As a Freezer Associate, you will be responsible for managing products stored in our temperature-controlled environments. Your role involves accurately selecting and packing products from the freezer to fulfill orders. Your ability to work in cold environments, attention to detail, and dedication to maintaining product integrity are crucial to our success. Join us as a Freezer Associate and play a critical part in ensuring that our products reach our retail partners in optimal condition. Shift begins at 11 am working Monday through Thursdays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Receive, inspect, and store frozen products in designated freezer areas.
  • Follow proper handling and storage procedures for frozen goods.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare freezer orders for delivery to our retail partners.
  • Monitor and maintain freezer temperature and humidity levels.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts in freezer environments.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the freezer areas.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and order fulfillment.
  • Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift 40-60 pounds and to stand, bend and lift regularly.
  • 18 years of age or older, if operating power equipment.
  • 16 years of age or older, if operating non-power equipment.
  • Previous experience working in a freezer or cold storage environment.
  • Knowledge of proper handling and storage procedures for frozen products.
  • Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with using pallet jacks or forklifts in freezer environments.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks in a freezer environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
