Job description

Position Overview


The Warehouse & Event Operations Specialist is an essential member of the Ambrosia Events production team. This position is responsible for ensuring every event is accurately prepared, safely transported, professionally installed, and efficiently returned to the warehouse.


This is not a traditional warehouse position. It combines logistics, craftsmanship, construction, transportation, event production, and problem-solving into one dynamic role. Every day is different. One day you may be organizing inventory and loading trucks, while the next you may be building custom event structures, installing ceiling décor, delivering rental equipment, or setting up a wedding or corporate gala.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing high-quality work, thinks creatively when solving problems, and takes ownership without needing constant supervision. Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations


  • Pull, stage, and prepare rental orders accurately using pull sheets, production schedules, and floor plans.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, organize, and properly store incoming inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks safely while ensuring inventory is protected during transportation.
  • Clean, inspect, repair, wrap, and restock returned rental equipment.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts, labeling, warehouse improvements, and organization projects.
  • Report damaged, missing, or low-stock inventory promptly.
  • Open and close the warehouse following company procedures.


Driving & Logistics


  • Safely operate company cargo vans, box trucks, and trailers.
  • Transport rental equipment to venues throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states.
  • Secure inventory properly to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Verify load sheets before departure and upon return.
  • Maintain company vehicles in clean, professional condition.
  • Report maintenance issues immediately.
  • Represent Ambrosia Events professionally while interacting with clients, venues, and vendors.


Event Installation & Production


  • Install and remove event rentals including:
  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Dance floors
  • Pipe & drape
  • Ceiling installations
  • Lighting
  • Lounge furniture
  • Bars
  • Floral installations
  • Specialty dĂ©cor
  • Custom event structures
  • Follow CAD drawings, floor plans, installation diagrams, and production schedules.
  • Work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and solve on-site challenges quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure all installations meet Ambrosia Events' quality expectations.
  • Leave venues clean and organized following every event.


Fabrication, Repairs & Maintenance


  • Build, assemble, modify, and repair custom event dĂ©cor, bars, backdrops, display pieces, shelving, and production elements.
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools including drills, impact drivers, saws, sanders, grinders, nail guns, and other shop equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on rental inventory to keep equipment event-ready.
  • Assist with painting, staining, assembling, and improving rental inventory and warehouse fixtures.
  • Help fabricate custom pieces for client events when needed.


Inventory & Quality Control


  • Perform routine inspections to identify damaged or worn inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory organization and storage systems.
  • Ensure all rental items are cleaned, repaired, tagged, and event-ready before returning to inventory.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and organization.


Safety & Compliance


  • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Use proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment when necessary.
  • Report accidents, injuries, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company driving policies.


Team Collaboration


  • Work closely with planners, designers, floral teams, warehouse staff, and event managers.
  • Assist with showroom installations, special projects, and company initiatives.
  • Support other departments whenever needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude during long production days.
  • Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally.


QualificationsRequired


  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable driving cargo vans and willing to learn box trucks.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 75+ pounds repeatedly.
  • Excellent attendance, reliability, and work ethic.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Mechanical aptitude with confidence using common hand and power tools safely.
  • Ability to read measurements accurately and assemble or repair equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to continuously learn new skills.


Preferred


  • Previous warehouse, logistics, delivery, moving, construction, carpentry, fabrication, manufacturing, or event production experience.
  • Experience driving box trucks or pulling trailers.
  • Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or warehouse equipment.
  • Basic carpentry, electrical, painting, or fabrication experience.
  • Experience reading CAD drawings, floor plans, or installation diagrams.
  • Experience building custom displays, scenic elements, exhibits, or event structures.
