Job description

Gift of Life Campus Ambassador Internship Program

Be the Reason Someone Gets a Second Chance at Life

Gift of Life Marrow Registry is a nonprofit focused on helping patients battling blood cancers and other life-threatening diseases find their life-saving stem cell or bone marrow donor match. For many patients, a bone marrow or stem cell transplant is their best chance at survival, but finding genetically compatible match is very difficult. About 70% of patients rely on a complete stranger for that match, which is why growing the registry is so important.

The Gift of Life Campus Ambassador Internship Program is a selective leadership opportunity for passionate, motivated college students who want to make a real impact on their campus and in the world. As a Campus Ambassador, you will serve as the face of Gift of Life at your college- educating peers, organizing donor recruitment events, growing awareness, and inspiring others to take action that could literally save a life.

This is more than just an internship. Itโ€™s an opportunity to become part of a mission-driven community dedicated to helping patients battling blood cancer and other diseases find lifesaving donors. Every event you host, every conversation you spark, and every person you inspire to join the registry has the potential to save someoneโ€™s life.

We are looking for outgoing, reliable, creative, and mission-driven student leaders who are excited to build community, gain hands-on experience, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Represent Gift of Life on your campus with professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Support the growth and visibility of the Campus Ambassador Program at your university
  • Organize and execute donor recruitment drives, tabling events, presentations, and awareness campaigns
  • Conduct outreach to student organizations, clubs, athletic teams, fraternities/sororities, and campus partners
  • Help recruit and engage prospective volunteers and ambassadors
  • Lead targeted outreach efforts to diversify the donor registry and expand campus partnerships
  • Collaborate on marketing and communications initiatives, including social media content and promotional efforts
  • Stay in regular communication with your mentor and take initiative in planning and executing activities
  • Think creatively, problem-solve, and bring new ideas to engage your campus community
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY: Have fun while making a meaningful impact!

What Weโ€™re Looking For

Successful Campus Ambassadors are:

  • Passionate about making a difference and helping others
  • Strong communicators who are comfortable speaking with peers and presenting publicly
  • Self-starters who take initiative and work independently
  • Organized, accountable, and reliable
  • Energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic
  • Creative thinkers who can engage and motivate others
  • Involved on campus and excited to build connections within their community
  • Interested in leadership, nonprofit work, healthcare advocacy, community outreach, or event planning

No prior experience is required! Just a willingness to learn, grow, and make an impact.

What Youโ€™ll Gain

  • Direct involvement in a lifesaving mission and the opportunity to create real impact
  • Leadership development and hands-on nonprofit experience
  • Resume-building experience in outreach, event planning, marketing, and public speaking
  • Networking opportunities with like-minded student leaders and professionals
  • Mentorship and guidance from the Gift of Life team
  • Community service hours
  • The opportunity to develop professional communication and leadership skills
  • Access to an incredible nationwide network of Campus Ambassadors

Incentives & Recognition

Although this internship is non-paid, top-performing Campus Ambassadors will be eligible for exclusive incentives and recognition opportunities, including:

  • Invitation to the annual all-expenses-paid Campus Ambassador Retreat hosted at Gift of Life Headquarters in beautiful Boca Raton
  • National recognition opportunities
  • Leadership growth and expanded responsibilities within the program
  • Performance-based monetary rewards

Commitment & Schedule

  • Approximately 40 hours per semester
  • Flexible scheduling designed to accommodate academic commitments
  • Additional involvement opportunities available for students who want to take on a larger role
  • Occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed for campus events and outreach activities

Why Gift of Life?

At Gift of Life, we believe one person has the power to change another personโ€™s entire future. Campus Ambassadors are at the forefront of that mission. This is a high-impact, selective program designed for students who want to challenge themselves, grow as leaders, meet incredible people, and leave a lasting legacy on their campus.

If youโ€™re looking for a meaningful experience where your efforts truly matter, weโ€™d love to have you join our team.
