Job description

Objective:

The Campus Administrator provides high-level administrative and operational support for the MidCities Campus, with a primary focus on Family Ministries (Kids and Students). This role ensures efficient campus operations, supports ministry initiatives, and facilitates effective communication both internally and externally to enhance the overall ministry experience.

Essential Job Functions:

Family Ministry Support (Kids & Students)

  • Partner with Kids' and Students' Pastors to support ministry programming, events, and logistics
  • Assist with planning and execution of key events, including camps, conferences, Rooted, seasonal events, and special initiatives
  • Facilitate communication with parents, first-time guests, and volunteers at the direction of Kids' and Students' Pastors
  • Support volunteer coordination efforts, including communication and administrative follow-up
  • Assist with guest follow-up processes and ministry touchpoints (e.g., birthday cards, first-time guest communication)
  • Assist Central Kids' and Students' Ministry teams on logistics for large-scale events and trips

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain working knowledge of the campus budget and assist with basic budget tracking and reporting
  • Coordinate purchasing and inventory of campus and ministry supplies (e.g., communion elements, guest materials, office supplies, event resources)
  • Process purchase requests, Amazon orders, expense reports, and invoices in accordance with organizational policies
  • Supports office logistics (e.g., organizing mail, maintaining office supplies, submitting maintenance requests).
  • Contributes to a welcoming and caring office environment through friendly, hospitable reception and interaction as the first point of contact for the church office.
  • Update and maintain accurate records in Rock (church database), including visitor information and baptism records
  • Ensure baptism certificates are prepared and mailed within established timelines
  • Coordinate facility usage by scheduling rooms, meetings, and after-hours space for ministries and groups
  • Support pastoral care processes by receiving and documenting prayer requests in ROCK, communicating relevant updates during weekly staff meetings, and notifying the appropriate care team leader

Campus Engagement & Team Participation

  • Attend and actively contribute to weekly staff meetings
  • Support campus-wide ministry needs as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
  • Perform all duties in alignment with Compass policies, procedures, and ministry standards

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time position averaging15 hours per week, during regular office hours and, potentially during family ministry events and at the direction of the Operations Director.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrates a growing and biblically grounded faith in Christ and a lifestyle consistent with the mission and values of Compass Christian Church
  • Exhibits a servant-hearted approach to ministry with professionalism, humility, and a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; able to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse audiences
  • High level of adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced ministry environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning database systems (e.g., Rock RMS)
  • Physical requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday, Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds

Education/Experience Requirement

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • An associate or bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Prior administrative support experience, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting
  • Exposure to budget tracking or financial processes
  • Experience supporting ministry programs or volunteer teams
