Are you ready to influence strategy and interact with Vice Presidents daily while serving as the bridge between Operations and Stores? Join Amazon Operations Finance and become a critical partner in shaping the strategic direction of the world's most complex supply chain. This is your opportunity to deliver insights at scale, build breadth and depth of knowledge across our global operations, and work at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation.
In this role, you'll build AI-native workflows, innovate at scale, and have a heavy focus on science and analytics. You'll work closely with senior leaders to drive data-driven decision making across Amazon's vast operations network. Key job responsibilities
- Conduct deep dive analytics to solve complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, business insights, and recommendations that drive improvements and influence leaders throughout Amazon
- Partner deeply with regional, functional, and stores finance teams to align financial and operational analyses, challenging assumptions when necessary and sharing findings with senior leaders to support strategic decision making
- Build AI-native workflows and innovative financial solutions at scale to proactively resolve finance issues, improve processes, and simplify tools and technology across teams and organizations
- Write clear and concise narratives that communicate finance topics with the right level of detail, enabling informed decision-making for both finance and non-finance senior partners
- Research technical, operational, and financial details to develop insights across the end-to-end supply chain, investigating key dependencies, business drivers, and key performance indicators that support long-term strategic goals

You'll start your day diving deep into analytics, processing and manipulating large datasets to extract meaningful insights that support decision making across Amazon's operations. You'll partner closely with regional, functional, and stores finance teams, participating in discussions that span multiple organizations. Throughout the day, you'll build AI-native workflows, create dynamic financial models to simulate different scenarios, and innovate at scale by identifying opportunities to improve and simplify finance processes. You'll also collaborate with senior leaders, presenting your analyses and recommendations that directly influence the strategic direction of Amazon's global supply chain operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 5+ years of finance, tax or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
