Job description

Amazon AIR seeks a Sr. Supply Chain Manager to own network resiliency strategy and execution across our aviation and ground operations network. As part of the AIR Customer Experience (CX) team, this role sits at the intersection of network performance, supply chain planning, and customer delivery outcomes - owning the analytical and strategic frameworks that connect upstream and downstream dependencies across the AIR network. You will develop a deep understanding of the hard and soft constraints that shape network performance - spanning aviation operations, sort capacity, ground handler throughput, and linehaul connectivity - and translate that understanding into actionable frameworks that drive better decisions across planning cycles and real-time operations.
You will serve as the connective tissue between Network Planning, Aviation Operations, Ground Operations, Non-Ops supply chain partners, and Customer Experience teams, building the analytical foundation and decision frameworks that enable principled tradeoffs between Speed, Cost, and Quality. A core part of this role is mapping and managing upstream and downstream dependencies across the broader supply chain - working with internal and external partners to build mechanisms that improve end-to-end resiliency and reduce systemic defects before they impact customers.
This role requires someone who can operate at both the strategic level - shaping long-term network design and annual planning inputs - and the tactical level, supporting short-term tradeoff decisions during disruptions and constraint periods.
Key job responsibilities
1. Map and maintain a comprehensive constraint model across aviation and ground operations, distinguishing hard and soft constraints and quantifying their impact on Speed, Cost, and Quality
2. Map upstream and downstream supply chain dependencies, building mechanisms that improve end-to-end resiliency and serve as the connective link between planning and operational stakeholders
3. Analyze correlation between constraint drivers to surface systemic interdependencies and inform network design and annual planning decisions
4. Build entitlement-based tradeoff frameworks that enable principled decisions across planning cycles, balancing Speed, Cost, and Quality with clear visibility into downstream customer impacts
5. Build resiliency assessment mechanisms that evaluate network design decisions across key risk dimensions and surface mitigation strategies
6. Partner with internal and external supply chain partners to co-develop mechanisms that improve upstream reliability and reduce handoff defects
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
- 3+ years of logistics operations experience
- Experience supporting OP planning cycles with quantitative risk assessments and scenario analyses
