THE POSITION

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on the production floor, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. This role acts as a liaison between production staff and management, helping to coordinate workflow, train team members, resolve issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production associates to meet production schedules and quality standards
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely output
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure a clean and organized work environment
  • Train, mentor, and support new and existing team members to enhance productivity and skill levels
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company specifications
  • Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with maintenance or management to implement solutions
  • Record and report production data, including output, downtime, and resource usage
  • Assist with inventory tracking and material handling
  • Lead daily shift meetings to communicate expectations, priorities, and updates
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and suggest ways to optimize production processes

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or technical degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or team lead role
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control standards, and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using basic computer systems and production reporting tools.  Previous experience with Netsuite a plus! 
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Experience in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and similar equipment

Logistics:

  • This role is expected to work out of our facility at 2200 Chisholm Trail Road, Round Rock, TX, 5 days a week. Regular shift hours will be assigned, usually 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Occasional overtime hours are possible for peak season
