Job description

The Amazon Ads Marketing team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own the technical delivery and operations of Amazon Ads Academy-the global e-learning platform (ads.amazon.com/academy). This role will drive platform initiatives including Learning Management System (LMS) integrations, content delivery optimization, personalization features, and cross-functional technical programs that enable our marketing team to deliver exceptional educational experiences at scale to customers worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
Program Ownership
- Own delivery of e-learning platform programs including LMS backend integrations, content API development, recommendation engine implementation, and platform enhancements across 20 languages
- Define program plans, milestones, dependencies, and delivery timelines for complex, multi-phase technical initiatives supporting courses, certifications, learning paths, and video content
- Manage cross-team execution across engineering, product, marketing, content operations, analytics, and localization teams
Learning Platform Delivery
- Oversee development of scalable learning platform components, content delivery systems, and user experience features that enable efficient course creation and personalized learning journeys for advertisers of all experience levels
- Coordinate platform launches, feature releases, LMS integrations, and technical implementations supporting educational content across multiple channels
- Ensure performance, accessibility (WCAG), learner engagement metrics, and platform reliability standards are met across all educational properties
Technical & Platform Leadership
- Partner with architects on learning platform architecture and integrations (Intellum LMS, personalization, targeting, analytics)
- Manage platform roadmap for Amazon Ads Academy including frontend experiences, middle layer data abstraction, content APIs, and cross-channel delivery
- Translate business requirements for educational content delivery into technical plans and drive execution with product management and engineering teams
Stakeholder & Risk Management
- Act as primary point of contact between marketing stakeholders, content creators, and technical teams for learning platform initiatives
- Identify and mitigate risks related to content delivery velocity, platform performance, learner experience, scalability, and launch readiness
- Drive issue resolution, dependency management, and cross-team alignment across educational content stakeholders
Operational Excellence
- Establish delivery processes, documentation, and reporting standards for learning platform operations
- Track KPIs such as learner engagement, course completion rates, certification attainment, platform stability, release success, and user satisfaction
- Drive continuous improvement in educational content delivery processes and technical operations
