Job description

Koniag Information Security Services LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with a Secret security clearance to support KSS and our government customer in Falls Church, VA. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead and manage assigned Lean Six Sigma/CPI projects from defining through control phases (DMAIC), ensuring successful delivery of measurable improvements.
  • Apply all elements of the ASQ Black Belt Book of Knowledge (BOK) or equivalent industry-recognized quality organization standards to assigned improvement activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets using statistical tools to identify root causes and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Facilitate process mapping, root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and other improvement techniques with cross-functional teams.
  • Coach and mentor Green Belts and other team members in the application of LSS/CPI tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and operational staff to implement and sustain process improvements.
  • Support the development and delivery of LSS/CPI training materials and workshops.
  • Prepare briefing slides, metric charts, progress reviews, and technical documentation as required.
  • Maintain proficiency in MS Teams, MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access), Power BI, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Apply CPI/LSS expertise specifically within healthcare industry contexts to drive meaningful clinical and operational improvements.
  • Ensure improvement activities comply with applicable government, organizational, and contract requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Active Black Belt certification from ASQ or an equivalent industry-recognized quality organization.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience, including CPI/Lean Six Sigma experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated continuous practice as a Black Belt since certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience associated with successfully accomplishing requirements related to process improvement program support.
  • Proficient knowledge and application of Lean Six Sigma, CPI, and quality management methodologies (DMAIC, DMADV, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience applying improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using statistical analysis tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and oral, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams through improvement projects and workshops.
  • Proficiency in MS Teams, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Access, Power BI, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment under the guidance of Master Black Belt leadership.

Clearance Requirement:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance.

Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience working in a federal government or military healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with Navy and Marine Corps operational environments.
