Job description

Do you want to influence capital intensive, one way door decisions as we expand Amazon's last mile delivery footprint to better serve our end customers?
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service, responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households/businesses across the planet. Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a portfolio of delivery stations, vans, and technology to deliver customers' packages on time - often next day, sometimes faster. You will make history as you help build one of the largest carriers on the planet.
AMZL Finance seeks a Finance Manager to join the Last Mile Topology & Investment Analytics team, partnering directly with our business and finance partners to own capacity expansion investments and influence decision-making within the org

You will have extensive cross-functional partnership opportunities with business and finance leaders across multiple disciplines including Topology, Real Estate, Construction, Engineering and Launch teams to solve high visibility, high impact, unstructured problems as we grow our AMZL delivery network. Your ability to deliver meaningful financial analysis through ambiguous situations and operate with a high degree of critical thinking will allow you to operate as the primary Finance stakeholder in the decision-making of growing our AMZL network.
Success in this role requires you to partner with and influence business owners, respectively audit and challenge business model assumptions, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. You will own the financial analysis behind the decisions AMZL will make, and hold yourself and partners accountable for ensuring those data-driven decisions are best for Amazon

You will collaborate with all types of stakeholders, from other finance leaders, to functional leaders, to executives, across multiple business units within Amazon. You bring best-in-class business partnership, critical thinking, and high judgement not only in the execution of your work but also while advocating strong controllership within your team and across stakeholders. You are comfortable asking thoughtful questions, communicating insights, and presenting your analysis to business leaders during reviews.

You're a team player who thinks 2 steps ahead, prioritizes building analysis the "right" way, and appreciates process as much as execution.
This role directly impacts the decision on billions of dollars of investments in Amazon Last Mile infrastructure. A successful candidate effectively influences business partners, provides sound and thoughtful recommendations leveraging high degrees of financial knowledge and critical thinking, and manages competing priorities in a quickly changing environment. The candidate should demonstrate amazing analytical skills, ability to work with ambiguity and strong analytical and verbal and written communication skills as direct interaction with worldwide operations leadership is common.
Key job responsibilities
Design and build processes that improve the level of accuracy, automation, and scalability of financial analysis
Own a subset of financial analyses from ideation through execution that balances speed of execution with accuracy to deliver the highest degree of value to Amazon
Uses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner

Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. Your communication drives critical business decisions
Makes thoughtful time management decisions independently. Prioritizes work, resolves issues, meets deadlines, and seeks feedback from your manager.

Discerns between urgent and non-urgent issues and acts accordingly to solve them
Drives own self-development in the Finance Community: seeks opportunities to expand finance expertise. Participates in events, initiatives, and projects, then shares gained knowledge in and outside of your team
Contributes to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer across team members as an indicator of operations excellence
