Job description

As a Recruiting Business Partner, you will partner with dedicated Sourcers to cultivate sourcing channels, develop relationships with hiring managers, and close searches against tight deadlines. In this role, you will be responsible for talent attraction strategies, utilize your experience setting benchmarks and metrics, and exercise high judgment in navigating complex hiring decisions with limited guidance.
We need a talented Recruiting Business Partner to help us find the best talent in the world to support our growth. The Recruiting Business Partner will work with a team of peers including Sourcers and Recruiting Coordinators focusing in the areas of candidate talent search and placement, process improvement, strategy development and will act as the primary point of contact for supported groups. They will foster a collaborative team environment and a strong service-oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality driven service to internal customers and meets customer service level agreements.
The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments where they can work independently, make high-velocity decisions, and drive results with incomplete information. They excel at influencing senior leaders and cross-functional partners without direct authority, building credibility through data-backed recommendations and trusted relationships. The best candidates draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition and functional areas of the business, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders, hiring managers and HR business partners. They leverage emerging technologies including GenAI tools to enhance recruiting effectiveness while maintaining human judgment and ethical standards. They have a reputation for being exceptional at candidate generation, client/account management, organization, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate sound judgment in sensitive situations.
This role can be based in Seattle, Nashville or Arlington.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Influence • Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches • Influence senior leaders without direct authority through expertise and data-driven insights • Drive process improvements across organizational boundaries
Talent Acquisition Excellence • Recruit passive candidates by profiling fit and understanding motivation • Negotiate and close complex offers in competitive markets • Screen, interview, and prepare candidate slates within consistent timelines • Drive positive candidate experience through effective job descriptions and clear value propositions
Innovation & Continuous Improvement • Recommend recruitment strategies that contribute to long-range company growth • Apply GenAI tools to enhance sourcing, screening, and engagement while maintaining security and ethical standards • Evaluate when GenAI adds value versus when human expertise is essential • Combine AI capabilities with human judgment to improve efficiency
Execution in Ambiguous Environments • Thrive with incomplete information, making progress despite uncertainty • Make high-velocity decisions with limited guidance • Balance competing priorities to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) • Articulate plans with deliverables, timelines, and tracking processes
Collaboration & Project Leadership • Participate in special projects including assessment of interviewing best practices and identification of top performers • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver internal and external candidate pipelines • Own recruiting projects focused on process improvement and candidate experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of full-time Amazon experience
- • 3+ years of recruiting experience (agency or corporate)
- • 3+ years of experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships
- • Experience with candidate engagement and offer negotiations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience executing recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management
- Experience prioritizing competing demands, scoping large efforts, and negotiating timelines
- Experience handling administrative details independently, while exercising good judgment in keeping team members adequately informed
- Experience in recruiting especially high volume hiring, both within direct hiring and outsourcing capacities
- Experience working with fast-moving, high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions tailored to unique business environments
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
- • Experience exploring and applying GenAI tools to improve recruiting effectiveness while maintaining ethical standards and security protocols

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
