Job description

This is a full-time, in-office position with typical work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with an hour lunch. There is no nights or weekends on-call rotation.


Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. You'll support small to mid-sized business environments, both remotely and on-site, handling escalated issues and working closely with the rest of our team to deliver reliable IT solutions.

This client-facing role requires not just technical ability but a service-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively with end users and peers alike.
What You’ll Do

  • Provide remote and on-site support for Microsoft 365, Windows desktop environments, and general end-user issues
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Windows Server environments, firewalls, VPNs, and networking components (e.g., VLANs)
  • Execute infrastructure projects such as server migrations, upgrades, and hardware refreshes, including cutover and rollback planning
  • Support and maintain backup systems and disaster recovery solutions
  • Support line-of-business applications including QuickBooks and client-specific vertical software
  • Handle escalations from other technicians and resolve complex infrastructure issues
  • Use the ConnectWise suite (Manage, Automate, Control) for service delivery and documentation
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients of all technical backgrounds
  • Document work thoroughly and follow internal processes to maintain service consistency
  • Collaborate with the internal team to share knowledge and improve processes

Requirements

Experience
  • Minimum 5 years in IT support, with at least 3 years at an MSP
  • Comfortable with PSA, RMM, MDM, and documentation platforms (ConnectWise experience is a plus)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, and networking technologies
  • Experience supporting line-of-business applications such as QuickBooks
  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V) and Apple device
