Job description

Amazon Industrial Robotics is seeking an exceptional Principal Hardware Engineer to own and architect our entire verification and validation capability for next-generation advanced robotics systems. You will establish Amazon's hardware verification and validation competency at unprecedented scale, serving as the technical authority and strategic owner for V&V frameworks, test infrastructure, and related hardware validation systems across our product line.
You will build deep partnerships with internal robotics teams, architect our verification and validation infrastructure, and influence product design from concept through production deployment. You will partner with engineering leaders across the robotics organization, shape our product architecture, and define our verification and validation roadmap.
Key job responsibilities
Develop Verification and Validation (V&V) Plans: Work with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to create comprehensive test plans for components and systems.
Hardware Requirements Verification: Verify that hardware meets defined specifications and functional requirements through targeted, value-based testing.
Create Test Programs and Methods: Design test programs (Design Validation Testing and End-of-Line Testing), plans, and methods for subsystem verification tests and complete system V&V tests to support new technology and product development.
Test Execution and Reporting: Execute test plans, generate test reports, and document results.
Design Test Fixtures: Design, construct, and monitor specialized test fixtures for testing
