Job description

The Seasonal Loss Prevention Specialist (LPS) is a key high-level hourly associate position in the Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs). The Seasonal Loss Prevention Specialist leads the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset (lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, & intellectual property) protection in a designated fulfillment center. The LPS reports to the Loss Prevention Site Lead responsible for their facility, and aids them in supporting the FC Operational team, and the cross functional teams throughout the organization. The position is site based and seasonal.
• Conduct and deliver results regarding investigations of Theft and Fraud
• Deliver results through policy Guidance, Education, and Mitigation strategies to help meet business demands
• Analyze data, conducts audits and identify trends to create actionable plans to mitigate risk
• Maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the work place
• Inspiring performance excellence and oversight on the part of all contract security service team members.
• Accurately communicate verbally and in written form to a broad customer base
• Train and orient new Associates in LP culture
• Promote and execute security best practices
• Audit physical security infrastructure (i.e. intrusion detection, access control, cameras) and ensuring functionally of all systems
• Work weekends and/or overnight shifts as necessary
Key job responsibilities
• Conduct and deliver results regarding investigations of Theft and Fraud
• Strong interest in Loss Prevention or Security
• Basic operational familiarity with MS Office Professional Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
• Must be flexible to work weekends and/or overnight shifts as necessary
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to work in an industrial environment that requires walking up to 5 miles a day and ability to lift up to 20 pound
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain or logistics, or 3+ years of Amazon experience

The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
