Key job responsibilities
As a Security Engineer within Global Media and Entertainment, you will collaborate with engineering teams to drive the implementation and validation of security controls prior to production launch. You will provide frontline support for partners on security-related issues, including design reviews, network monitoring, and emerging threat response. This role requires thought leadership as you invent and innovate to protect our customers and content at scale.
• Engage early with development teams at the ideation and design stage to embed security into applications from the start, providing guidance on secure architecture and coding practices.
• Collaborate with security stakeholders to define and drive the long-term security strategy and participate in periodic on-call rotations to support security incidents.
• Partner with developers to build scalable, self-service security tools that enable teams to identify and remediate security risks at the speed of business.
• Design, build, and maintain automated security guardrails and paved paths that enable secure-by-default practices.
• Leverage AI tools and techniques to accelerate security assessments, automate threat detection, and drive innovation in how we secure systems at scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
- 2+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review in a common programming language (non-internship) experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
- Knowledge of industry-based security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
- Experience in troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks using command line tools (non-internship experience)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience implementing security solutions at the business division level or equivalent
- Experience in any combination of the following: application security frameworks, security code reviews, incident response, secure infrastructure, penetration testing, mobile security, cloud security, AI security, identity and access controls, threat modeling, cryptography, threat intelligence, or secure software development
- Experience with AI/ML technologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
