Senior Developer – Cloud Applications Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Developer to lead the design, enhancement, integration, and modernization of the Digital Products Catalog (DPC) platform.

This role will serve as the primary technical owner of the application architecture and will drive platform scalability, extensibility, cloud adoption, developer standards, and product evolution across transportation, GIS, engineering, surveying, and asset management domains.

The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, GIS specialists, Infrastructure teams, DevOps engineers, and external stakeholders to transform DPC into a scalable multi-tenant enterprise platform.

Key Responsibilities Platform Development

• Design, develop, and enhance DPC platform capabilities.
• Build scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop modern React-based user interfaces.
• Create reusable application modules and APIs.
• Lead application modernization initiatives.

Cloud Architecture

• Design cloud-native services and microservice architectures.
• Improve platform scalability and resiliency.
• Support migration from monolithic components into modular services.
• Implement event-driven and API-driven integrations.

AI & Intelligent Platform Development

• Evaluate opportunities to embed Generative AI capabilities within DPC.
• Design AI-enabled workflows for metadata enrichment and data governance.
• Integrate DPC with enterprise knowledge repositories and AI services.
• Support creation of AI-powered search, discovery, and recommendation features.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders on AI roadmap initiatives.
• Establish responsible AI and governance standards for the platform.

Data & Integration

• Design complex relational database models.
• Optimize SQL Server performance.
• Build integrations with:
• + ArcGIS
• + FME
• + Autodesk products
• + ERP systems
• + Workflow systems
• + Asset Management platforms

Product Evolution

• Develop capability maps and domain models.
• Extend asset and standards data models.
• Participate in roadmap development.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Security & Governance

• Implement RBAC and secure authentication mechanisms.
• Maintain JWT-based security architecture.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards.
• Conduct architecture and code reviews.

Technical Leadership

• Mentor junior developers.
• Establish coding standards.
• Lead architecture discussions.
• Improve documentation, testing, and design practices.
