Job description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Water treatment systems (RO, IX, softening, membrane) for data center cooling
• Evaporative media lifecycle management and scaling/fouling mitigation
• Chemical management programs (dosing, compliance, vendor strategy)
• Water efficiency optimization at fleet scale
• Heat transfer fluids for liquid cooling applications
• Develop cross functional relationships that facilitate the gathering of robust and complete product requirements for mechanical solutions
• Build and maintain strategic roadmaps for new mechanical solutions to drive business initiatives
• Lead the development, deployment, and sustainment of Mechanical Systems for our next generation data center in a highly cross-functional environment, which includes internal customers, hardware, and software development teams.
• Drive teams inside and outside the organization to deliver complex cross-functional programs with high impact to the organization.
A day in the life
This PMT role specifically addresses the critical water and chemical engineering dimension of mechanical cooling products-ensuring that evaporative media, water treatment systems, and chemical programs are optimized for performance, cost, reliability, and environmental compliance at hyperscale.
The candidate combines deep water/chemical engineering expertise with product management discipline, vendor strategy acumen, and the ability to communicate technical trade-offs through Amazon's written narrative culture
Our product manager work passionately to define customer requirements, development compelling product strategies to drive business value, and partner with cross functional teams and external vendors to make their strategies a reality at AWS scale!
About the team
The Mechanical Products & Services team provides engineering expertise and design and product lifecycle support for mechanical equipment in data centers globally. This includes support for new products and design features that address the mechanical cooling systems included in data center deployments. We own and support mechanical products throughout their lifecycle. Our scope also includes emergent global scale remediation strategic efforts that impact Data Center capacity or availability and introducing and driving business improvement initiatives increasing visibility and enabling data driven decision making.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 1+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment experience
- 5+ years working closely with teams of 5-25 high performing associates with a proven track record of success and growth
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience in data center design, HVAC design and related product development
- Knowledge of power distribution and data center mechanical cooling systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
