The Coffee & Beverage (C&B) categories are among the most dynamic and fastest growing. Consumers' and shoppers' passion for these products keeps them seeking leading brands that elevate daily rituals and inspire exploration and discovery. As a Sr. Customer Account Specialist supporting Amazon, you serve as the primary contact for assigned Amazon categories-calling on key indirect groups that support the Amazon account team, driving category growth, and delivering annual sales and commercial spend targets.

Responsibilities: 

Customer Account Ownership (20% of role)

  • Drive category growth and achieve annual sales and commercial spend targets.
  • Develop and execute category driving business plans such as new item presentations, 4P focused initiatives, and other customer presentations. 
  • Where appropriate, support in Business Planning tools through proper distribution tracking, promotion administration, forecasting, and deduction management. 
  • Effectively manage commercial spend to achieve sales volume goals and trade spend goals, including administration, record keeping, tracking and follow-up
  • Participate in the development of Customer Category Business Plan(s) with Amazon and work with Amazon personnel to drive the execution of the customer category plan.
  • Collaborate with Sales Finance Manager on financial reconciliation monthly.

Account Forecasting & Analysis (80% of role)

  • Leads analytics for the Amazon Coffee & Beverage portfolio - utilizes tools available as well as builds, creates and customizes data tracking to support our business needs
  • Leads monthly forecasting reviews and recommendations across the portfolio, in collaboration with Customer Account Managers (CAMs), Director and cross functional team.
  • Has a deep understanding of customer needs / priorities and leverages data to proactively provide business recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams by leveraging both multiple data sources inclusive of Amazon vendor central, syndicated and shipment data to recommend forecast adjustments.
  • Responsible for timely and effective communication of customer/category and forecast information with Amazon team and Nestle counterparts in commercial development and supply chain.
  • Primary point of contact for Amazon Vendor Services relationship
  • Ensure timely and professional participation in career development programs
  • Drive one's own development through the adoption of capability tools
  • Develop critical behaviors through robust PDP process
  • Act as Peer Coach and provide training to analysts
  • Actively ensure effective communication with Commercial Development, Shopper Marketing and Supply Chain partners

Requirements:

  • University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a previous Account Management role, or similar experience. 
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills
  • Experience in leading/owning projects on previous teams
  • Successfully delivered on KPI objectives in previous roles
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the sales fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, strong judgement in decision making, good problem solving skills, thinks strategically, and a customer service orientation 
  • Takes the initiative to execute with minimal supervision
  • Challenges current processes, generating innovative suggestions that improve performance even beyond own role
  • Takes immediate action to resolve issues or potential issues, ensuring stakeholders are properly communicated to about the potential impact 
  • Puts in persistent and if necessary, extra effort to accomplish goals and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Proactively identifies opportunities beyond what is expected in own role
