Job description

Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers to grow assigned accounts and drive sales revenue. This role involves proactive customer communication, quote and order management, lead generation, and follow-up to ensure excellent customer service and achievement of sales objectives. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled in identifying customer needs while delivering solutions that support long-term customer retention and growth.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee with this job title.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to provide a high level of customer service and support
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to identify current and future sales opportunities
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and order status
  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate quotes, pricing, and configurations in accordance with company policies
  • Effectively document sales orders, quotes, and customer communications
  • Interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions
  • Generate new business through outbound calls, follow-up on leads, and proactive sales outreach
  • Close sales opportunities generated through inbound and outbound efforts
  • Submit timely call reports and track sales activities
  • Prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity

Education
  • Four-year college degree is preferred or equivalent sales experience

Experience/Skills/Abilities Required
  • Prior customer service and sales experience are required
  • Some metals industry or aluminum sales experience would be a bonus
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities; high attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong math skills and comfort working with pricing and margin calculations
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
  • Must be willing to sign our standard non-compete agreement

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Typical office environment - moderate noise level. This position regularly requires standing; walking; sitting; use hands; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
