Job description

PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and documenting printed circuit board layouts for electronic products. This role works closely with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineers to ensure PCB designs meet performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost requirements.


Key Responsibilities


Design and develop PCB layouts for analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF, and power electronics applications.

Create multilayer PCB designs, including component placement, routing, stack-up development, and signal integrity considerations.

Generate fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing documentation.

Collaborate with electrical engineers to interpret schematics and optimize board performance.

Work with mechanical engineers to ensure proper fit, form, and function within product enclosures.

Maintain design libraries, component footprints, and PCB standards.

Qualifications


Associate's Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

2+ years of PCB design experience preferred.

Proficiency with PCB design software such as:

Altium Designer

Cadence Allegro

OrCAD  

Mentor Graphics/PADS

KiCad  

Understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMC/EMI, and high-speed design principles.

Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and engineering drawings.
