At Citadel, Operations is central to how the firm operates and grows. We solve complex challenges, build scalable solutions, and partner with our businesses to launch new products, enter new markets, and establish new businesses. Across the trade lifecycle, we combine technology, data, and operational expertise to strengthen controls, manage risk, and improve how the firm operates.

As an intern, you will take on meaningful responsibility from day one. Through our 11-week program, you will work alongside global teams, gain hands-on experience solving real business challenges, and build a broad understanding of Citadel's businesses, the trade lifecycle, and financial markets.

Your Objectives:

  • Own team-specific projects from end-to-end, using data to analyze business needs, develop strategic solutions, and implement improvements that deliver measurable results.
  • Take responsibility for essential day-to-day processes across clearing, settlements, corporate actions, collateral management, and core shared services.
  • Collaborate with the broader intern class on a capstone project that brings together perspectives from across Operations to advance a global strategic initiative.

Your Skills & Talents:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative, technical, or business discipline, such as engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, or related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and foundational programming with experience leveraging AI tools.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and translate complex ideas into clear, actionable outcomes.
  • A detail-oriented and results-driven approach to solving problems and a strong sense of intellectual curiosity.

In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role is $2,200 to $2,300 per week.
