Job Description
Real Estate Technology / Growth Team Investments Intern
Job Description
The Fall Investments Intern program places candidates directly into Brookfield's Real Estate Technology & Growth Investment Team. The individual will focus primarily on asset, portfolio and corporate-level acquisitions and dispositions within the real estate team, with a specific focus on emerging real estate asset classes, PropTech, and other platform opportunities.
The Intern will act as a member of a lean deal team, with a focus on the following:
  • Creating financial models and analysis that generate projected investment cash flow and returns
  • Conducting research to support the investment strategies and evaluate transaction opportunities
  • Assisting in preparation of presentations, memos, and analyses to support new and existing investments
  • Participating in due diligence of prospective investment opportunities
  • Collaborating with Brookfield's portfolio and asset management teams to create value in owned assets
  • Ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements:
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with high attention to detail and good work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Interest in investment banking, private equity, consulting, asset management or corporate finance
  • A fundamental understanding of applied investment and valuation analysis, financial modeling
  • Fundamental experience with MS Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit

Compensation Rate:
Compensation Rate $30 USD per hour.
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
