Job description

Allstar Heating and Air Conditioning is looking for an HVAC Apprentice.
Installs new HVAC equipment and materials according to specifications and established safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Allstar offers an apprenticeship and/or formal training in an area of specialty as an option.
  • Requires a minimum of 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction or service-oriented field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Primary job functions typically do not require exercising independent judgment. Reports to a supervisor or manager.
Other duties include:
  • Assists in organizing and implementing jobs.
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining clean job sites, warehouse as well as vehicles on a regular basis.
  • Customer/Contractor Relations, Professionalism.
  • Knowledge and maintenance of safety standards.
  • Ability to fabricate minimal sheet metal items to perform HVAC installations (Basic plenums, pans, decorative tops, chimney caps, saddles flashings) Not Required but a plus.
  • Minimal familiarity with plumbing, electrical and structural elements as applies to HVAC systems/installations.
  • Ability to evaluate possible needs of Journeyman/Apprentice III for continuing /completing current jobs as well as facilitating new jobs.
  • We offer a tool program so that you can build your own toolbox for your new position if necessary.
  • Filling out all job files and other necessary timesheets accurately on a daily basis.
