Job Overview

We are launching a new division and seeking a hands-on President with exceptional operational and financial skills, whose background is rooted in successful Project Management. This executive role combines strategic leadership, foundational business development, and direct operational oversight. We are specifically looking for a talented Project Manager ready for a significant step up.

You'll manage everything from high-level strategy to essential daily functions, working with a very small, agile team. Your leadership will be pivotal in establishing our initial market presence, ensuring high-quality project delivery (on time and on budget), controlling costs, and building scalable processes from the ground up. This is a thrilling opportunity for a proactive visionary, passionate about applying their Project Management expertise to launch an entire business unit backed by a successful parent company.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee all commercial construction projects from planning to successful completion, requiring direct, hands-on involvement in management and execution tasks.
  • Develop and manage accurate initial estimates, bids, and divisional budgets to secure profitability and guide early resource allocation
  • Manage all supply chain functions, including the purchasing and tracking of key materials like lumber, and negotiate essential vendor/subcontractor agreements.
  • Coordinate all operational functions and efficiently manage schedules, subcontractors, and materials, ensuring project delivery excellence.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients, key vendors, the parent company's executive team, and all division employees.
  • Establish and enforce company-wide quality standards and safety protocols to ensure all work meets the parent company's reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

  • Previous extensive experience in commercial construction Project Management or Estimating is required.
  • No prior experience as a company President is necessary. We seek strong Project Managers ready for an executive transition.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial construction lifecycle and deep knowledge of building materials, especially lumber.
  • Proven track record of preparing accurate estimates, managing project budgets, and delivering complex projects successfully.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, organizational, and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to be hands-on and manage multiple complex responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
